The meetings focus on worshiping and serving a holy God in a world where so many think that the god of their imagination is their servant who is supposed to jump at their every bidding. It is our Creator that we serve. These services meet each Sunday at 10:00 A.M. with intermission and 11:00 A.M. and at 6:00 P.M.
Each Wednesday evening we are refreshed with reminders from the Word of God and then we spend the rest of the evening in prayer in twos, threes, and small groups for the needs of the church, our friends and neighbors. This service is held each Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.
Purported Bible scholars continue to sully the Scriptures in Jerusalem. Those involved in “The Bible Project” as it is called, began tracking every single evolution of the text of the Hebrew Bible fifty-three years ago. They assert that “the sacred text (then) was not the one we study today”. They also observe that “the transmission” of the text “was messier and more human” than most imagine. These academic lights claim that the differences in the ancient text compared to the current versions are “evidence of the inevitable textual hiccups, scribal errors and other human fingerprints that became part of the Bible.” “The Bible has evolved indeed,” say they. This is all according to an AP press report dated August 12th.
It is no wonder that the authority of God’s Word is evaporating in the wider circle of evangelical Christianity. Even in fundamental Baptist circles the doctrine of verbal plenary inspiration is being turned on its head. Many retreat to the notion of the “as originally written” concept to safeguard their veneer of orthodoxy. But what of the Scriptures TODAY? Do we rest our confidence in sacred writ on the competence and good intentions of the scholar? If we do not preach from the Word of God…inspired by God and preserved by God, we do not preach with the authority of God.
To set a guidepost for our church family so as to assist them in this era of proliferating English translations and sundry versions, we set forth this statement on the Doctrine of the Scriptures.
“We believe that the Holy Bible as originally written was verbally and plenarily inspired and the product of Spirit-controlled men, and therefore is truth without any admixture of error for its matter. We believe the Bible to be the center of true Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions shall be tried.”
“We believe that God has supernaturally preserved His Word in the traditional Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. We believe that the King James version of the Bible is an accurate translation in its entirety. Accordingly, we believe that it is prudent, for the sake of clarity, consistency, and continuity, to insist that all who teach or preach at Grace Baptist Church use the King James Bible for public reading, classroom instruction, or the formal proclamation of the Word.” (2Tim. 3:16-17; 2Pet. 1:19-21; Matt. 4:4; Matt. 5:17-18)

We believe in the unity of all true believers in the Church which is the body of Christ, which was established on the Day of Pentecost, and that all believers, from Pentecost to the Rapture, both Jews and Gentiles, are added to this Church by the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that this church is manifested through the local church which is a congregation of immersed believers associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by his Word; and that its officers are pastor and deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scripture.
We believe the true mission of the church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men as we have opportunity.
We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self-government free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; that the one and only superintendent is Christ through the Holy Spirit; that it is scriptural for true New Testament Baptist churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the gospel; that each local church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation; and that on all matters of membership, of polity, of government, of discipline, of benevolence, the will of the local church is final.

Music, having originated in the heart of our eternal Holy God, is moral. Its design and intent is purposed by the Creator. Music is not amoral. Music is a language in and of itself, an exquisite means of communication and expression.
Therefore, music must be in harmony with the vocal expression as a sensible form of language. We sing unto the Lord that He might be praised and exalted. God is our primary audience. We sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to one another that the people of God may be edified.
Therefore, our music must be doctrinally scriptural, philosophically biblical and ministered by those who are separated unto God, personally and ecclesiastically. The vocalists and instrumentalists aiding in worship and service shall be they who give evidence by their Spirit-filled lives that they are being conformed to the image of Christ. Thus, shall they render their ministry of music in a manner consistent with His holy nature.
Therefore, our worship music will be traditional versus modern, conservative not contemporary, sacred versus secular. Some forms of non-worship music, such as classical, marching band, patriotic, or traditional folk music is appropriate depending on the occasion and venue.
However, rock music…whether Christianized, countrified, or contemporized…shall not be utilized at Grace Baptist. And such music is certainly not recommended for the Christian home.
Furthermore, the styles which convey music such as jazz, blues, rap, pop, or “band” shall not be a part of life and worship here. We stipulate that Southern gospel music that is in keeping with the letter and spirit of this policy statement may be used in our worship services.
The Pastor, as the one charged with the responsibility for the entire scope of ministry within the church, shall likewise have oversight of the music ministry.
This policy, as sanctioned by vote of the church, will be effective the same day as approved.
